Bailey Gets a Guitar For Christmas
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way
This is Santa Claus and tonight I'm on my way
I landed my sleigh on top of a house
down around North Carolina way
I put some presents under the tree
and ate the milk and cookies they left
I heard a noise and looked up the stairs
a little girl was looking down at me
I said "Hi little girl, what's your name?"
she said "my name is Bailey Marie, and I'm three"
I said "my name is Santa and I'm a hundred and three"
she said "when I grow up I want to be a movie star"
"Oh I'm sure you will, now go back to bed"
Halfway up the stairs she turned and said
"I love you Santa Claus"
I said "I love you too Bailey Marie"
I pulled out a Barbie and a little toy guitar
and put them under the tree
and slid back up the chimney
to continue my Holiday spree
I heard there were squeals of delight
from that house the next day
people say she got a guitar
and was learning how to play
I heard later that she became a star
everyone wanted to hear her play
her song was called "Santa's Song"
it was a big hit and they play it today
