Bailey Marie Song

Bailey Marie Song

I saw her online and she was
Strumming her guitar
Her voice was better
Than anyone so far

Her songs were so sweet
They just couldn't be beat
Every song that she sang
Was an extra special treat

She's an angel from Heaven
and that is no surprise
She's America's sweetheart
With the clearest blue eyes

She's a homecoming queen
with so much glamour
When she sings our song
The Star-Spangled Banner

[CHORUS]
Oh can't you see, Bailey Marie
You're casting a spell on me
So, if you please, Bailey Marie
Could you play another song for me

She's a country music singer
With an old cowboy hat
Her boots are made for walking
She's a real bobcat

Just like Dolly Parton
Playing music like fine wine
Her songs for the townfolk
Are like gold from the mine

I know that she is going far
and will be famous someday
With her southern country style
and the way that she plays

But she's a Carolina girl
And I'm a California guy
So I may never meet her
in all of my days

[CHORUS]

But If I ever do meet her
I'll be dressed in style
I'll pay her some compliments
Just to see her smile

I'll tell her she looks grand
And politely kiss her hand
And say Good Evening Miss
I really love your band

So now I'll go find
my electric blue guitar
That I had stopped playing
When I lived afar

I'm gonna write her a song
So she knows she's not wrong
On her fun-filled adventure
To becoming a star
